The southern Costa Blanca begins behind the city of Alicante and extends to Cartagena in the south.
This stretch of coast is much drier and flatter than the northern part of the Costa Blanca, there are areas as well that are more green, but it general its a dryer area and climate
Typical tourist places in the south are Orihuela, Villamartin, Torrevieja, Guardamar de Segura
Here there is a wider range of land and building plots than on the Costa Blanca North. Due to the larger supply of building sites, the price level is significantly cheaper than in the north. Note that despite the overall lower average selling price, there are big differences between locations. Many English, Dutch, Belgians, French and Germans have settled in the urbanizations, who use their quarters either all year round or only in winter.
The southern Costa Blanca offers beautiful, sometimes very long beaches and dunes. Golf courses, parks and the beautiful forest of Pinos are very well known and used extensively.
Of course, every place invites you to enjoy amazing coffee places, restaurants shops and amazing walks along the sea coast. Larger shopping centers or Ikea can also be reached quickly.
